The way the media has portrayed and is portraying women is terrible. Dove saw this and wanted to do something about it, so they started their "Real Women" campaign to show that there REALLY is beauty in everyone. When Dove took this task on it was an amazing change to the way that women see themselves.

A few months ago i was online readintg articles. I found one that said "Voluptious is the new Black" i was thrilled, so i started reading it. It was an article filled with everything i hoped it would be. There were beautiful pictures that showed women and ALL that they were made of. some of the women were nude, and others with clothes, but they were pictures with REAL women.

Beauty Backlash talked about how Dove sponcers people to go into schools and educate people about eating disorders and how the images in the media can sometimes help spark one. I was so happy when i heard this because I peronsally have had a very close friend who suffered from a sever eating disorder, caused by the images that the media pushes out. It was at that point in highschool that it became very clear to me that the media images are rewining our perceptions of ourselves.

I was very pleased with what the Beauty Backlash was saying, and think that more movies like that need to be produced and fed to the public.

The Plam Pre.

The palm is definitely a revolution for the touch phone era. I love that it is a touch, but not a LCD screen. When I use it I feel confident that it will not break and I love that it has actual buttons for texting, not an onscreen text menu. After talking to my friends about their phones and comparing different opinions the Palm seems to be the best option for texting, with the Qwerty keyboard, but it is smaller than the two hand Qwerty keyboard.

With the Palm Pre, it can sync to a Windows computer with no problem. But it does not sync to Mac with as much ease. Because I have a Mac computer I have experienced some problems with syncing my Pre but there are definitely ways to get around it.

The Palm Pre is a Smart Phone, so it is also able to sync to your email accounts, which is very nice so you do not have to keep importing your contacts each time you change phones.

The Palm Pre is an amazing phone and has kept on surprising me every day!
